Spinning a Good Yarn at Magna11th January 2010
Join us this New Year at Magna as we take part in National Storytelling Week. A special StoryQuest trail will be taking place around the site so bring along a torch as you search the building uncovering hidden words and put together sentences to complete a story.
On Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st January listen to some fantastic storytellers. David Hague will be telling stories of scientists on Saturday 30th at 11.00am and 1.00pm and on Sunday 30th Peter J Murray, author of the bestselling 'Mokee Joe' series of books; will be reading extracts from his books.
The Inspire Rotherham team will also be on site with some reading dens - build your very own place to curl up with a book. A great way for the little ones to relax after a busy day of play.
In conjunction with National Storytelling Week Magna is offering visitors a chance to win some exciting reading goodies! We are looking for short stories of no more than 500 words to be written and submitted our favorites will be uploaded to the Magna website and an overall winner will be chosen.
