Magna's Summer of Love is setting sail
6th August 2010The 3rd week of the summer holidays is here...oh how time flies when your enjoying yourself! This summer we are celebrating everything great about Magna with our Magna loves summer campaign. This week we are celebrating the Water pavilion with Magna loves Water: 9th - 13th August - Get your engines at the ready as we set sail with our motor boat making workshops. Create your own motor and race your boat against others
Our themed weeks of activities continue throughout the holidays with Magna loves Earth: 16th - 20th August, Magna loves Outdoors: 23rd - 27th August, Magna loves Steel: 31st August - 3rd September
Not forgetting the Juicy Fruit workshops taking place Monday to Friday this week. What's common to all life on Earth? ...DNA! Extract the DNA from a kiwi fruit and create a colourful DNA bracelet. The workshops are running in conjunction with a unique new exhibition that has just landed at Magna, Inside DNA which investigates developments in the field of human genes. Explore the role genes play in our everyday lives as well as hearing the ideas and opinions from leading researcher.
Don't forget to bring your towel as Aqua-Tek our outdoor play area will be open throughout the summer holidays so make the most of the sunny weather and spray, splash, squirt, and get soaked!
