Making a Booking

You can buy tickets online or on the day of your visit. Tickets are a cheaper price if you book online.  Please check our opening times before you visit.

Yes, all tickets can be purchased on the day of your visit, just go to the ticketing desks at main reception. Please check our opening times before you visit.

Please note there is limited walk-in availability for our additional family activities and events.

When booking tickets online, you will be asked to pick a visit date. If you cannot visit on your selected date, you can use your ticket for entry on another day; you do not need to book again online, just arrive at Magna and show your ticket. Your annual pass will run for 12 months from the date of original ticket purchase.

Tickets are valid for 12 months from date of purchase and are non-refundable. All full priced tickets to Magna include an annual pass. Your Many Magna Returns annual pass runs from the date of purchase of your ticket.

On completion of your online order, you will get an order confirmation by email. Present your email to our reception team on arrival, either printed or on your phone.

Please check your junk emails. If you have not received an email with your booking reference after one hour, please contact us: info@magnatrust.co.uk or call 01709 720002. Bookings may also fail if there is a delay in your bank authorising the transaction.

No, Magna does not operate a fast-track entry for online bookings.

As tickets are valid for 12 months, we do not offer ticket refunds.

You will receive an email with a code as your gift voucher.   Go to the bookings page, select your tickets and add to your basket.  In the basket screen it will give you the option to use the gift voucher and then you can continue to check out.  Gift vouchers can only be redeemed against admission tickets.

Yes, we offer a Blue Light Discount of 10% for up to a family of four. This does not include the Many Magna Returns annual pass.

Group bookings are available for groups of 12 or more paying visitors (this does not include under 2s or 121 carers). For more information please visit the Group Discounts page on our website.

Our schools’ programme runs during term-time and you can complete our School Visit Booking Form online.

Yes, you will need to bring ID in the form of a DLA or PIP letter.  For more information please view our accessibility guide.

Yes, Blue Peter badges need to be shown on arrival and are allowed in free with a full priced Adult ticket.  You can Book Here

Many Magna Returns & Annual Pass

Your Many Magna Returns annual pass runs from the date of purchase of your ticket.

Collect your Many Magna Returns card at reception on your first visit to Magna. At busy times we may ask you to do this at the end of the day.

We will take a photo when you collect your annual pass card, so we know it’s you on your next visit.

Once you have your card, book your re-visits online and any extra family activities we are running on the day of your visit.

If you forget to collect your Many Magna Returns card on your first visit you can do this on your next visit, but you must then bring with you: the original ticket and some photo ID for the person named on the ticket.

If you forget to bring you Many Magna Returns card when you visit, don’t worry! Just come to main reception and we can find your details on our system. If you lose your card there is a £5 charge to replace it.

The Many Magna Returns Annual Pass is included free when you buy any full priced admission ticket, just collect your Many Magna Returns annual pass card from reception and keep it safe.

Lost Many Magna Returns cards can be replaced at a charge of £5.

Special events and optional workshops or tours are not included in the annual pass and may be charged separately.

 

Yes. You can still use existing valid tickets, or your paper Annual Pass form. You will not be able to book your repeat visits online.

 

No. Magna no longer accepts Tesco Clubcard vouchers.

No. ‘Money off’ discounted tickets, or ‘child goes free’ vouchers are valid for day entry only.

No. Only the named people on your annual pass are able to use it, passes are non-transferable. If you have children with an annual pass who are visiting with different adults, then they can use the pass, and the additional adults will need to buy admission tickets.

No. Magna does not sell ‘outdoor only’ tickets and annual passes.

No. Annual passes cannot be used for school trips or group visits.

No. If you provide us with your email address then we may keep you updated with forthcoming events at Magna. If you wish to stop receiving emails from Magna, please email info@magnatrust.co.uk.

Your ticket receipt or order confirmation is also a record of your Gift Aid donation.

Planning Your Visit

Magna operates seasonal opening times throughout the year. Most people spend about 4 hours at Magna, there is no minimum or maximum stay. Last entry is one hour before closing time.

Parking is FREE. We have space for over two hundred cars including disabled parking.

We can accommodate both minibus and coach parking.

Magna is a cashless venue. We only accept card payments for admission, in the café and shop

Magna is a coats-on experience. Please wear clothes suitable for outside temperatures.

Yes, hot food is served from 10am – 3pm weekends and school holidays. We offer a reduced menu Mon to Fri during school term-times.

If you have a food allergy, intolerance, or special dietary requirement, please inform a member of the cafe team, and ask them about the ingredients in your food and drink before you place your order.

We do not have a dedicated packed lunch area. If we have a room available, we will offer this for packed lunches.

We do not allow packed lunches to be eaten in the main Refuel Café.

Sci-Tek – the outdoor play area has several benches for families to relax and eat their packed lunch.

Yes. Please note that Magna is cashless venue, we only accept card payment.

General FAQs

Yes, we have lift access to all areas within the attraction. Please supervise children when using lifts.

We have toilets in:

  • Main Entrance / Café area – including a Changing Places room.
  • Water Pavilion
  • Earth Pavilion
  • Sci-Tek and Aqua-Tek outdoor play area

Disabled toilets are in the Main Entrance / Cafe area, by the Earth Pavilion, and outdoors on Sci-Tek.

Baby changing facilities are in the Cafe area and by the Earth Pavilion.

Yes, there is a family changing room adjacent to Aqua-Tek.

We can provide a map on request. Please ask at the ticketing desks on arrival.

We only allow entry to assistance/guide dogs. No other support animals are permitted.

 

No, we do not provide storage for items of luggage or prams. Please only bring what you can carry with you.

Trained first aiders are on site during the day. We have first aid kits available in all areas inside and outside building.

Magna Science Adventure Centre does not currently offer birthday parties.

Visitors under the age of 16 are not allowed entry to the visitor attraction unless accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18. Magna reserves the right to refuse admission if groups are inadequately supervised.

It is against the law to smoke inside Magna’s building and smoking is not permitted in the children’s outdoor facilities Sci-Tek and Aqua-Tek. Vaping is not permitted in the building, or on Sci-Tek and Aqua-Tek. Thank you for your cooperation.

More Information

We usually offer additional activities during weekends and school holidays. Please ask our staff on arrival.

We always try our best to ensure you have a great day out, occasionally activities have to be amended or cancelled for reasons beyond or control. Thank you for your understanding.

24-hour CCTV is in operation to monitor the facility. You may be featured in photography or videos taken by Magna for marketing purposes; please ask to speak to a manager if you have any concerns.

Filming or photography for commercial purposes is not permitted without prior agreement, please contact info@magnatrust.co.uk

 

Magna is a family attraction and we will ask visitors to leave if they are behaving in an unsafe or inappropriate manner.  This includes failing to observe laws on smoking, or vaping and alcohol policy, or other basic health and safety guidelines.

As part of our ‘Caring for All’ policy, we will not tolerate verbal abuse towards staff, or other visitors.

We all have those days! If you have lost something during your visit, please contact info@magnatrust.co.uk and we will be happy to check for you. Lost property is kept for 28 days, following which any unclaimed items are given to charity organisations. Claimed items must be collected in person or via pre-paid postage within 14 days.
