Following the big success of the inaugural event last summer, the Rotherham Music Awards are back for 2019.

The awards were launched in spring 2018 to recognise the musical talent that Rotherham has, and to highlight those who work tirelessly to support the development of musicians or create opportunities for performers.

Last year, solo artists, bands, venues, schools, teachers, and composers were all recognised with awards, including Simon Hartley from music festival BeanFest who won the prestigious ‘Music Champion of the Year’ award. The 2018 awards dinner – hosted by Rother FM’s very own Stewart Nicholson –  was held at Magna and attended by over 150 nominees and sponsors.

The 2019 Rotherham Music Awards – supported by Rother FM – will take place on Tuesday 2nd July at Magna. This year will see 11 different categories up for grabs.

Nomination entries are now closed and the shortlisted categories have now been announced.
